December Favourites 2014

dec-faves

There are only a few days left to wrap up December, so there is no better time to share with you this month’s favourites!

MaxFactor Glossfinity Nail Polish in Midnight Bronze (60)

As you may know, I’m not really a nail polish wearer, but I have been loving this nail polish! I literally have been wearing it for almost the entire month! The colour is shimmery yet not glittery and goes on ever so smoothly. I only needed two coats to get it to my preferred opacity (with is quite opaque) and doesn’t take too long to dry. Also, one great thing about it is that it if you mess up, it won’t show too much! Absolutely love it!

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara in Midnight Black (872)

I have had this mascara for a while and I can safely say that I like it as much as I love my Maybelline The Falsies. Even though it’s not waterproof, it does not smudge one bit and definitely holds a curl. Plus, the wand is beautiful! It curls your lashes so nicely without any clumping, and is very buildable. I can get away with a ‘natural’ look or else amp it up when going out 🙂

IT Style Blusher in Plum and e.l.f. Cosmetics Blusher in Rich Rose

I’m mentioning these two blushers together because even though I quite enjoy them on their own, they’re even more stunning when applied together! One is matte while the other is shimmery, so when used together, you’re not going to look like a disco ball. In fact, the shimmer from the blush kind of acts like a highlighter in itself. I find that on their own, these colours unfortunately, do not shine through (maybe because of my complexion). On the contrary, together, they give off a beautiful rose gold.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

One of the best Christmas gifts EVER! I was so thrilled when Liza decided to give me my Christmas gift early – I absolutely LOVE this palette. The colours are so stunning that I’d be happy just looking at them. I would say the most used shades are Half-BakedChopperTeaseSnakebite and Blackout, simply because I haven’t had time to experiment with all the shades yet. Nonetheless, I love it 😀 The shades are so pigmented and smooth, as well as very long-lasting. The only thing I would comment on is that since the shades are so pigmented, you certainly have to be careful with the shimmery shades so as to avoid fallout. Other than that, I cannot complain!

Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

Just like Iggy Azalea’s Fancy, this song just got me (and Liza) hooked. I rarely obsess over music, but I’m honestly obsessing over this! It is so fun and addictive! Plus, this type of music is just right up my ally. Hat’s off to Mark Ronson for such an amazing song AND to Bruno Mars for bringing it to life. I mean – look at them rollers!

And those were this month’s favourites!

Since it is the last post before Christmas, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. I hope you enjoy every minute of it 🙂

Until next time,
