Review: TIGI Bed Head Duo

Quite a while back, I issued my first order from lookfantastic.com and got hold of two hair products (amongst others). Therefore, sharing with you my thoughts and review on these products, is long overdue.

TIGI-Bed-Head

The two products are both from TIGI’s Bed Head line, them being the TIGI Bed Head on the Rebound Curl Recall Cream, and the TIGI Bed Head Ego Boost. As I mentioned, I got these products online off lookfantastic.com, but you can always opt for buying them in-store or from a different online shop. I should also remind you that I naturally have curly, frizzy hair – therefore, I will be sharing my thoughts from a curly-haired person’s perspective.

TIGI Bed Head Ego Boost (200ml) – €15.90

ego-boost

The TIGI Bed Head Ego Boost, is probably the first ever leave-in conditioner I have ever bought with my own money. After using it for quite some time now, I do not regret getting this product one bit! As a leave-in conditioner, it has a light consistency, rather than being thick and heavy on the hair. Therefore, this product won’t weigh your hair down, which is something I personally struggle with when shopping for products or treatments. Moreover, it does not leave your hair tacky or damp for longer.

Personally, I find it best to pour roughly 2 or more full pumps (I have a lot of hair), rub it on the palms of my hands and distribute it throughout my damp hair – from the tips of my hair upwards towards the roots. I never actually GET to the roots, but I just run any excess product through the top part of my hair. After drying (naturally or using heat), you can actually feel that your hair is much softer than it would have been without the product. I also think that it reduces my frizz slightly – even though I normally use this in conjunction with other products so as to eliminate frizz, I have tried using it alone, and it did make a slight difference.

With regards to the packaging, the pump works just fine, and twists left and right to open or close. The shape of the bottle is the only thing that slightly bothers me as it is not travel-friendly. Then again, you definitely would not need all the bottle if you’re travelling. I just pour the product into little travel containers, and there you go!

TIGI Bed Head on the Rebound Curl Recall Cream (125ml) – €12.03

If you’ve got curly hair, go buy this now! This cream has helped me manage my frizzy hair SO much! Unlike the leave-in conditioner, this product is a thicker cream that gives shape to your curls. Even though it has this consistency, it does not weigh you curls down – on the contrary, the more you put, the curlier and full-of-spring, your curls will be. One thing I am a bit iffy about is that if you put too much product, your hair may turn slightly crunchy. Therefore, just like the leave-in conditioner, distribute it as evenly as possible throughout. Moreover, start with a reasonable amount, and then if need be, add more. Due to having a full head of hair, I tend to use quite a bit which in turn seems to reduce most of the frizz I have. That being said, I do not end up frizz-free after using this product mainly because of the texture of my hair as well as the humid environment I live in. Regardless, I love this product and will definitely re-purchase it!

In conclusion, I really like these products and think they are a great addition to anyone’s hair care routine! Moreover, I might try out other TIGI Bed Head products!
