Top 5 Drugstore Makeup Must-Haves

As we gather more and more makeup items, it seems that every now and then we always go back to our basic most loved products. After short listing a number of essential items, I was able to narrow it down to the top 5 makeup items that I think should be must haves.

Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer  – €6.60

This baby is a life saver! It conceals those dark under eye circles making your eyes look nice and bright. I also use it to conceal any blemishes or breakouts that are currently loving my face to much to leave it alone. Nice coverage and is long-lasting. I definitely recommend!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder – €5.19

Ladies, powder is our best friend. Unless you don’t want to look like the sun, of course. If you’re like me, and get oily in the T-zone, it’s nice to go over your makeup with a powder, keeping everything in place and matte. Some people like a dewy finish, but I personally don’t like that look on me, so I powder my entire face for a matte finish all round.

Maybelline New York The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara in Black Waterproof – €10.39

I’m not that fussy about mascaras but if I’m having a long day, I do opt for a waterproof mascara rather than the regular formula as waterproof mascara normally stays longer. With this mascara, I find that it stays put and most importantly, it doesn’t flake. This is one product that is worth the hype.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder – €15.98

Only this past year have I started using bronzer. I guess it’s one of those products that once you start using it, you never go back! I personally prefer a matte bronzer like this one, but you can always opt for something with shimmer. Just be careful when contouring with shimmery bronzer – you don’t want to become a disco ball, now do you?

Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107 – €6.92

I believe that every girl should AT LEAST (I say that loosely…you obviously need more than one!!) own one red lip product. It’s one of the holy grail makeup must haves and oh how I love them! Red lipsticks are sometimes quite tricky to wear as you don’t want it to bleed or move all over the place – that’s why I suggest going for a matte finish. It’s longlasting and easier to wear. This Rimmel lipstick is quite a berry lipstick, making some people chicken out of wearing a red lip. If you want to go for something lighter, you can always go for something like the e.l.f.’s Studio Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red.
